Epithelioid mesothelioma accounts for roughly 50%-70% of all malignant mesothelioma cases. Malignant epithelioid mesothelioma, as well as malignant sarcomatoid mesothelioma and malignant biphasic mesothelioma treatments are all extremely similar.
There are three main types of malignant mesotheliomas: epithelioid, sarcomatoid, and mixed/biphasic. Epithelioid is the most common kind. Like most other forms of cancer, it is separated into two groups, malignant and benign. The most common and relatively treatable form of the cancer is Epithelioid mesothelioma.
The most common and treatable histological subtype of mesothelioma is epithelioid mesothelioma, which is diagnosed in more than half of all mesothelioma diagnoses. Epithelioid mesothelioma seems to respond more favourably to treatment than the other two histological subtypes.
